AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (August 14, 2018) – RGIS, LLC, the global market leader in inventory and data collection, announces that George Brown, Chief Executive Officer for the U.S and Canada Operations, is resigning to pursue other opportunities. Siegfried De Smedt, recently Nielsen's Senior Vice President of Global Input Operations, has been named the Chief Executive Officer for the U.S. and Canada business. De Smedt has been a Member of the RGIS Board of Directors since 2015. Brown's resignation and De Smedt's appointment are effective August 20, 2018.

Asaf Cohen remains as the Chief Executive Officer for International, which includes Europe, Asia Pacific, South America and Mexico. Both positions will report directly to the RGIS Board.
As Nielsen's Senior Vice President for Global Input Operations, De Smedt was responsible for the global strategy, execution, innovation and successful transformation of the Data Collection, Validation and Statistical Operations for the Buy Retail Measurement and Consumer Panel Services. This resulted in driving significant client, shareholder and employee value. He has more than 30 years of successful experience in general and operational management. De Smedt's client-centric focus, combined with in-depth knowledge of retail markets, makes him well suited for this role at RGIS.
